1. Who these terms are with
This website and our care services are provided by Bright Hands Assisted Living, LLC, a Maryland limited liability company ("Bright Hands", "we", "us"). We operate two assisted living homes licensed by the Maryland Office of Health Care Quality at Level 3:

- 9720 Breckenridge Place, Montgomery Village, MD 20886, operating as Bright Hands Assisted Living II
Both homes are operated by the same legal entity. By using this website you accept these Terms.
2. This website is not medical advice
Our guides and articles are general information for families weighing care decisions. They are not medical, nursing, legal or financial advice, and reading them does not create a care relationship. Nothing here should be used to diagnose or treat a condition, or to decide whether a particular person needs a particular level of care. 3. The Resident Agreement controls
Care begins only when a Resident Agreement is signed and any required deposit is paid. That agreement sets out the services, the rate, what is included, payment terms, refunds, bed holds, notice periods and the grounds for discharge.
If anything on this website conflicts with a signed Resident Agreement, the Resident Agreement governs. Rates and availability shown here are indicative and may change.
4. Health information
To provide safe care we collect and keep resident health records, and we share them with physicians, nurses, pharmacies and emergency services as care requires. Resident records are kept confidential as Maryland law and COMAR 10.07.14 require, and the Resident Agreement and admission packet set out how they are handled. Website and enquiry data is covered separately by our Privacy Policy.
5. Payments
Fees and schedules are set by each Resident Agreement. Payments made online are processed by third-party payment processors. We never see or store full bank account or card numbers. Late payment may attract charges as set out in the Resident Agreement and permitted by Maryland law. We do not suspend or reduce a resident's care because of a billing dispute.
6. Responsibilities
Residents and responsible parties agree to give accurate information at admission, to tell us promptly about changes in condition, and to follow the care plan and house guidelines. Discharge and transfer are governed by the Resident Agreement and by COMAR 10.07.14.
7. Website content
Text, photographs and design on this site belong to Bright Hands. You may view, print and share pages for personal, non-commercial use. Republishing or commercial use requires our written permission. Photographs of residents are published only with written consent.
8. Accessibility
We aim to keep this site usable for everyone. If you hit a barrier, tell us and we will help and try to fix it. See our accessibility statement.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent Maryland law allows, we exclude liability for indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the website.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for personal injury, for the care we provide to residents, or any right you have under COMAR 10.07.14, the Resident Bill of Rights or other applicable law. These website terms do not reduce the protections a resident has.
10. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict of law rules. Any dispute arising from the website will be brought in the state or federal courts sitting in Montgomery County, Maryland.
11. General
If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. We may update these Terms, and the effective date below shows the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised Terms.
