We collect only the information needed to provide quality assisted living services and communicate with families. We use industry-standard measures to protect your personal data and do not share it except as required to provide our services or by law.

- Care-related details you choose to share with us, with your consent.
- Billing information for residents, handled by our payment processors.
- Technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referrer - collected via the cookies and services described below.
Cookies & Third-Party Services
We use a small number of third-party services on this website. Analytics, recording, and marketing services only load after you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you choose "Necessary only," none of those services will load in your browser. "Manage" lets you choose between them. Services we use:
- Google Analytics (GA4) - aggregate website usage analytics. IP addresses are anonymized. Loaded only after consent. Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out via the Google Analytics opt-out.
- Microsoft Clarity - heatmaps and anonymized session recordings (mouse movements, clicks, scrolls; password fields are masked). Helps us understand how families use the site so we can improve it. Loaded only after consent. Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- HubSpot - contact-tracking and marketing tools. Loaded only after consent. HubSpot Privacy Policy.
- Cal.com - powers the inline tour-booking calendar at /book-tour. Collects the name, email, and phone you provide when scheduling a tour. Cal.com Privacy Policy.
- Formspree - delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox. Used only when you submit the form. Formspree Privacy Policy.
- Resend - sends the auto-reply email back to you after a contact-form submission. Your email address is processed by Resend solely to deliver that single transactional message. Resend Privacy Policy.
- Google reCAPTCHA v3 - used on the contact form to block spam. Google may collect information per their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare - hosts this website and may process request logs for security and performance. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser; the banner will appear again.
Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no common industry standard for how to respond to it, and we do not respond to it. You do not need it here: the analytics and marketing services listed above do not load at all unless you accept them on our cookie banner.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information above to respond to inquiries, schedule tours, provide resident care, process payments, and improve our website. We do not sell or rent your personal data.
Sharing Your Data
Your information is shared only with staff and authorized service providers (like the services listed above, healthcare providers, or payment processors) and as required by law.
Data Retention
Contact-form submissions are retained for up to 24 months for follow-up. Resident records are retained as required by Maryland assisted-living regulations. Analytics data retention is configured to the Google Analytics default of 14 months.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data. To make such a request, email us at the address below. Maryland and California residents and residents of the EU/UK have additional statutory rights - we honor verified requests to the extent required by applicable law.
We do not sell or share your information
Bright Hands does not sell or rent the personal information families give us, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. The third-party services listed above act as our service providers. They handle data on our behalf only to deliver the functions described, and are not permitted to use it for their own marketing.
If you want to know what information we hold about you, or want it corrected or deleted, email us at brighthandsassistedliving@gmail.com. We handle verified requests to the extent applicable law requires.
Children's Privacy
This website is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" below reflects the most recent revision.
